Bangkok Cable Company Limited was established in August, with 4 million baht of registered capital. Established the first factory in Phra Samut Chedi, Samut Prakan.
Academic and Technical Cooperation with Tatsuta Electric Wire and Cable of Japan.
Telephone cable production cooperation with Hitachi Cable of Japan.
Successfully produced 35 kV medium voltage cables with a maximum cross-sectional area of 800 sq.mm at Samut Prakan Factory.
Successfully installed 115 kV high voltage power cables with a maximum cross-sectional area of 1,200 sq.mm at Samut Prakan Factory.
Established the second factory in Ban Pho, Chachoengsao.
• Successfully installed copper rod mill using CONTIROD technology with 100,000 tons per year production capacity.
• Successfully produced 35 kV medium voltage cables with a maximum cross-sectional area of 240 sq.mm.
Established Thailand’s 1st cables under fire conditions’ testing laboratory accredited under TIS 17025 at Chachoengsao Factory.
Expanded production capacity of power cables up to 35,000 tons per year.
• Installed SZ Line cable shielding for IEC 10 and IEC 53 cables at Samut Prakan Factory.
50th Anniversary of Bangkok Cable.
• Started production of 132 kV underground cables.
Established second shielded room for high voltage withstand test up to 250 kV.
Expanded production of Instrument and Control cables at Chachoengsao Factory.
• Successfully installed 4 th CV line for extrusion of high voltage cables up to 115 kV 1,400 sq.mm.
Established high voltage AC resonance mobile testing unit for after installation test up to 135 kV.
Successfully installed CV line for extrusion of extra-high voltage cables up to 230 kV 2,500 sq.mm at Chachoengsao Factory.
